Annual Mixed Couples Results

There were 33 couples competing in the annual LPN Mixed Couples tournament August 5-6. Winning the first flight were Kevin and Shelly Hogue with a two-day total of 149. Second place went to LPN members Bill and Deb Douglass with a 152, with LPN members Kevin and Mandy Willey taking third place with a 154. Winners were named in three flights. See full results online. Next year's event will be July 28-29, so mark your calendars and plan to play in this fun event.

Book Holiday Parties Now

The holiday season will be here before we know it, so now is a good time to plan your company's holiday party or special times with family and friends. The LPN conference center offers a variety of room sizes and meal plans to accommodate any group. If you'll have people visiting from out-of-town, the LPN also has lodging available in either townhouses or motel rooms. Dates are filling up, so call the LPN at 641-755-2080 to discuss options for your company or family get-together, or to make lodging reservations.

Annual Birdhouse Boogie on Labor Day

The 17th annual Birdhouse Boogie four-person couples best shot tournament will be on Labor Day, Monday, September 4. The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m., and the field is limited to PAID entries. The cost is $30 per couple for LPN golf members, and $90 per couple for nonmembers. Panorama West Special Hours

The Panorama West Golf Course will be closed 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., this Saturday, August 19, to host a special event. Panorama West accepts tee times on weekends and holidays, so if you're planning to play on Saturday call the clubhouse at 641-755-2250 to reserve a spot before this event.

LPN to Host Iowa Wife-Husband Championship

Lake Panorama National will host the 57th Iowa Wife-Husband Championship September 15-17. This is a 36-hole modified alternate stroke tournament. Participants must legally be husband and wife and maintain a residence in Iowa. The field is limited to the first 99 entrants, who will have the option of playing Friday-Saturday, Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Sunday. There is a championship division and a super-senior division. The super-senior division is open to a team with a combined age of 130 years as of September 15, 2017. All play in this division is from the forward tees. The entry fee for either division is $175 per team. More details and entry form available online.
