Water Aerobics Classes at LPN Pool

Since June, water aerobics classes have been offered at 9 a.m. Monday and Friday mornings at the LPN pool. Now a 7 p.m. Wednesday class has been added. Jackie Van Ahn leads the Monday morning class. Sandy Juhl leads the Wednesday and Friday classes. The classes are free, but those who haven’t purchased an annual LPN pool membership must pay the $3 daily fee. If you like, bring a couple of water bottles to use as weights, and a pool noodle or two. Classes, which last an hour, will continue through August. No signup needed, just come join the fun!

Driving Range Closed Beginning Tuesday

The LPN driving range will close for a few days beginning this Tuesday, as preparation gets underway to install a net to protect the condos and motel from flying golf balls. The range will be closed at least Tuesday and Wednesday, and work could extend into Thursday. LPA staff will work with the net installation company to erect 17 poles every 50 feet. Once the poles are set, measurements will be done to determine the exact dimensions of the custom net. Installation of the net will take place about a month later, and will require the range be closed again for a couple of days.

Slots Remain for LPN Mixed Couples

The LPN annual two-day Mixed Couples tournament is August 5-6. Mixed couples play as partners. The fee covers two days of golf with cart, practice balls, prizes and a Saturday evening dinner. The entry form is available here. Direct any questions to the LPN pro shop at 641-755-2024.
