Sports Courts Open for Play

The courts complex at Boulder Beach includes one regulation tennis court, two regulation pickleball courts, and a basketball court that is slightly smaller than regulation size. A PowerGame two-tiered surface covers the concrete base of the courts. This surface keeps the court clean by allowing water, dirt and debris to drain through. The cushioned design also provides shock absorption to help reduce joint stress and fatigue. Thank you to the Lake Panorama Association, Friends of Lake Panorama and all those who donated for making this project a reality. Learn more on the Friends of Lake Panorama website.

Panorama West Updates in Full Swing

Thanks to James and Joyce McLuen, who gifted 20 percent of their estate to Friends of Lake Panorama for the Panorama West golf course, substantial improvements are underway there. Landscapes Unlimited has begun replacing the original irrigation system on the golf course tees, fairways and greens. The course remains open during construction. Work is being done on one hole at a time, which means each hole will be closed for a few days. Completion of the irrigation system is expected by July 30. During construction, all golfers will need to check in, or call the pro shop to learn about daily hole closures. For more information, call the pro shop at 641-755-2250.

Other improvements made possible by the McLuen gift are updated landscaping around the clubhouse; new signs, yardage markers, ball washers and trash receptacles; additional cart paths; and a three-year turf improvement project. More details and pictures of these projects can be found on the Friends of Lake Panorama website.
