LPN Resort Weekly - 5/19/2019

Congratulations Matt Mikkelsen!

Congratulations, Matt, for accepting a new position as General Manager at Ballard Golf and Country Club. We are sorry to see Matt go, but happy he is making advancements in his career. Matt has agreed to stay into June to help LPN transition. We are in the process of creating a job posting that will be out next week. Thanks again, Matt, for all your hard work and dedication to Lake Panorama National. You will be missed.

Links Memorial Day Weekend Hours

The Links Restaurant will have expanded hours for the Memorial Day weekend. Hours will be Friday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Monday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Junior Golf School Signup

Registration for the 22nd annual Lake Panorama National Junior Golf School is open. Young people ages 5 to 17 are eligible to attend the school, which will be held each Wednesday morning in June. Juniors learn full swing, pitching, chipping and putting fundamentals along with golf etiquette and rules of golf.

The registration fee is $50. All sessions begin at 10 a.m. The first three sessions will be at LPN and last one hour. On the final day, June 26, participants will meet at the Panorama West golf course for a tournament and pizza party, ending at noon.

The Junior School has two sponsors that have supported the school for many years — the Lake Panorama Association and Guthrie County State Bank. “LPA and LPN are proud to support junior golf,” says John Rutledge, LPA general manager and LPN director of operations. “We view it as our opportunity to grow the game of golf, which is truly a sport for all ages. There’s nothing better than seeing two or three generations of golfers enjoying our Lake Panorama courses.”

Dishwashers Needed

The Links Restaurant is seeking part-time dishwashers. Interested candidates can submit the online employment application or apply in person daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Lake Panorama National Resort, 5071 Clover Ridge Road.

Preparation to open the Lake Panorama National Resort pool and spa has begun, with the opening date to be set in the next couple days. Watch our Facebook page for more details. In the mean time, be sure you are ready for opening day by purchasing your pool membership early. A new offering for the 2019 season is a grandparent membership. Adults 55 and older may list grandchildren up to the age of 12 on this membership. Cost for this membership is $150 for LPA property owners and $165 for non-LPA property owners. A membership form is available online and can be mailed or dropped off with payment to the LPN front desk.

Water Aerobics Classes at LPN Pool

Starting May 29, water aerobics classes will be offered every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Lake Panorama National Resort pool. Classes begin at 9 a.m. and are lead by Sandy Juhl and Nancy Clawson free of charge. Those who haven’t purchased an annual LPN pool membership will need to pay the $3 daily fee at the LPN front desk or pro shop before entering the pool. If you like, bring a couple of water bottles to use as weights, and a pool noodle or two. No signup needed, just come join the fun!
