Reserve Your Table Now for Easter Brunch

Lake Panorama National’s annual Easter brunch will be Sunday, April 16. Chef Drew will prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees, along with sweet desserts. Brunch will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with seatings every half-hour. Cost is $19.95 for adults, $9.95 for children 5-12 and FREE for children 4 & under.

Because of the brunch, The Links regular breakfast menu will not be available that day. Make your reservations for the Easter brunch by calling 641-755-2080 or submit the form below.

The annual Easter egg hunt will be held at 10 a.m., near the conference center. All children are welcome, and attending the brunch is not a requirement. Come join us!

Seeking Granite Club Sponsors

Lake Panorama National has a tee box sponsorship program that began in 2008 to support the construction of Spikes. Donor signs are made of granite, and words such as unwavering and steadfast define granite. Thus, members of the Granite Club are recognized as unwavering, steadfast LPN supporters. Granite Club members can be businesses, organizations, couples or individuals.

Funds now are used for additional capital improvements at Lake Panorama National Resort. Eight holes remain available for 2017. The annual fee is $500, plus new members are asked to pay the $250 cost of their engraved granite sign.

Granite Club members receive a foursome of golf, including carts, when they pay their new membership or renew an existing membership. Club members also are recognized on the LPN website, in this LPN Weekly e-newsletter, and in an email to all LPN members, encouraging them to support these businesses that support the LPN.

It can take a few weeks to get the granite signs completed and installed, so the sooner we get started, the sooner we can have your sign in place for the 2017 golf season. Contact John Dinnebier at 641-755-2080 if you, or your business, would like to become a 2017 Granite Club member.

Enter the Bud Light 8" Cup Tournament

The first organized golf tournament of the LPN season is always the Bud Light 8" Cup. This year's event will be Sunday, April 23. As the name implies, the cups will be 8 inches to help players who lost their putting stroke over the winter.

Entry fees are $120 per team if all members are LPN golf members, and $240 per team for non-LPN golf members. If your team has a mixture of LPN members and non-members, see the entry form or call the pro shop for a fee breakdown. Entry fee includes golf with cart, range balls, appetizers and prizes. Registration begins at 10 a.m., with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. An entry form is available here. Join the Diners Club

Do you enjoy eating and drinking at the Links Restaurant & Lounge? If so, you should consider becoming an LPN Diners Club member. Members of the Diners Club receive a 10% credit when they join. For example, a pre-payment of $500 will get a $550 credit on the account for use at the Links, Spikes and on-course beverage cart.

Members receive a monthly statement showing how much money remains on the account. Any future pre-payments also will receive the 10% credit. Best of all, the credits never expire. Find a membership application here, or ask your Links server for details.

Make Plans to Attend May 6 Beach Ball at LPN 

The 2nd annual Beach Ball, sponsored by Friends of Lake Panorama, will be Saturday, May 6, at Lake Panorama National. All proceeds will go to new sports courts at Boulder Beach. So far, $27,000 has been donated for this project. Once Friends raises $50,000, the LPA has committed $50,000. An anonymous donor has pledged another $25,000 for a basketball court that will be separate from the two tennis/pickleball courts.  
Sponsors have committed to all but three of the 30 tables available. Table sponsorships cost $100. Each table of eight will be individually decorated with a different theme. Sponsors can do their own decorating, or a volunteer decorator will be assigned. Table sponsors are encouraged to recruit up to eight guests at $40 each for their table. Seats not filled by sponsors will be available for purchase by others interested in attending the event. Friends of Lake Panorama is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so the $100 table sponsorships and $20 per ticket are tax-deductible contributions. The other half of each ticket purchase goes to the LPN. 

The Beach Ball will begin at 5 p.m. with a social hour that features special drink prices, plus time to view the decorated tables, purchase raffle tickets, and place bids on silent auction items. There will be a buffet dinner at 6 p.m., followed by a live auction. Donated items are needed for the raffle and auctions.
