GCSB Men’s Member/Guest Entry Deadline May 1

The May 1 entry deadline for one of the premier men's golf events at Lake Panorama National Golf Course is approaching. The Guthrie County State Bank Men’s Member-Guest is an excellent opportunity for LPN golf members to invite a guest to our facility for great fun and great golf! This tournament will be Saturday, June 1, and Sunday, June 2. More details on this event, plus registration form is available online.

Panorama West Open House April 28

An open house will be held at the Panorama West golf course and clubhouse Sunday, April 28, to celebrate recent improvements on the course. Friends of Lake Panorama is sponsoring the event to formally recognize the $473,000 estate gift from James and Joyce McLuen, which made the improvements possible.

The open house will be 2-4 p.m., with a short program at 3 p.m. Members of the McLuen family will be introduced at that time. Light refreshments will be available. A silent auction will be held, so those interested can place bids on old tee markers, signs, trashcans, ball washers, ball washer stands and other items that were replaced as part of the golf course improvements.

T-shirts sporting the Friends of Lake Panorama logo and name will be available for purchase. Shirts are $20, with checks and cash accepted. Money raised by the silent auction and shirt sales will be used for small projects at the Panorama West clubhouse.

If weather permits, a putting contest on the practice green and a closest-to-the-pin contest on the first hole will be part of the festivities, with prizes awarded. Golf carts will be available so visitors can tour the course to see the improvements. A new irrigation system was installed, additional concrete cart paths added, and clubhouse landscaping renovated.
