Volunteers Sought for Iowa Open
Volunteers are needed for the Brokers International Iowa Open, which will be August 19-21. Starting times for volunteers on the morning shifts Friday and Saturday will vary from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., depending on the hole assignment. Afternoon shifts start between noon and 1:30 p.m. The Sunday morning shifts start between 8-11 a.m., and will last until play is completed on assigned holes, which should be 4-5 hours. Lunch, snacks and bottled water will be provided to volunteers each day.
New volunteer shirts are being purchased, so even those who have volunteered in the past are asked to complete this year's volunteer form, which can be done online. Paper copies of the form are available in the LPN pro shop, or from Larry and July Wykoff, volunteer coordinators. Questions? Call Julie at 515-778-0053.
Golfers competing in the Iowa Open are offered free housing on a first-come, first-served basis. Shirley and Kent Stephenson match golfers with willing home hosts. If you can host one or more golfers, or would like to know more, email the Stephensons at email@example.com.
