Benefit Concert April 30

A concert to benefit Timber Creek Charities will be held Saturday, April 30, in the LPN banquet room. The concert will be presented by The Pale Moons, an Americana duo featuring Anna Kopaska and Chad Elliott. Elliott graduated from Guthrie Center Schools, and now lives in Coon Rapids. Kopaska graduated from Coon Rapids-Bayard, and lives in rural Bayard.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m., and include two 45-minute sets with an intermission. Food and beverage service will be available from the LPN in advance of the concert, and during intermission. A variety of desserts, prepared by Timber Creek volunteers, will be offered for a freewill donation. Money raised at the concert will be used to support patients at Timber Creek Therapies who don't have adequate insurance or private funds to receive therapy.

Tickets are $25 each. Advance tickets can be purchased at the LPN front desk daily during business hours. Tickets also will be available at the door. For more information, call Timber Creek at 641-747-3225.

Limited Tickets Available for The Beach Ball May 6

Ticket sales and table sponsorships have been strong for the 1st annual Friends of Lake Panorama “Fun-raiser” planned for Friday, May 6. The Beach Ball will be held in the LPN banquet room, with proceeds used to build a new playground at Sunset Beach. The Beach Ball will include dinner, live music, a wine pull, and silent and live auctions. All tables will be decorated with a different theme, and those in attendance will vote for their favorites by putting cash into corresponding jars.

The Beach Ball will begin at 5 p.m. with a social hour that features special drink prices and time to view and vote on the decorated tables. The buffet dinner will be served beginning at 6 p.m. Sponsors have been secured for all 30 tables, but 40 individual tickets still are available. Tickets are $40 each.

Many items have been donated for the auctions, but more are welcomed. Friends of Lake Panorama is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity, so $20 per ticket is tax-deductible. The value of donated items, and money spent to purchase items, also could be tax deductible. Anyone interested in purchasing tickets or donating an item is asked to contact Susan Thompson at thomcomm@netins.net641-755-4382, or 515-240-6536. More information about Friends is available here.
