Reserve Your Spot for Valentine's Celebration at The Links

On Saturday, February 13, Chef Peter Makens will be serving a five-course Valentine's dinner, with each course paired with a different wine. Makens will be personally presenting each course, describing the food and the wine pairing. The first course is Seared Scallop, which will include red wine braised pork belly, seared scallop, butternut squash puree, pickled red onion and red wine gastrique. The second course is Roasted Mushroom Salad, featuring arugula, oyster and Shitaki mushrooms, bacon, goat cheese, toasted pecan, and warm bacon dressing.

The third course is Lobster Risotto, featuring butter poached lobster, garlic, shallots, and Pecorino Romano cheese. The fourth course offers a choice of Balsamic Braised Short Ribs or Pan Roasted Halibut, each with smoked Gouda polenta, cipollini onions, and fried shallot. The final course will be a delicious dessert.

There will be two seatings at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Each seating is limited to 40 patrons. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED, no walk-ins can be accommodated. The price is $75 per person. Last Week for Early Bird Rate

Time is running out to qualify for the "EARLY BIRD" discount on your 2016 LPN regular golf membership. Memberships must be paid in full by next Sunday to get this discount, which is shown on the membership form. There are three types of LPN golf memberships. Regular memberships are available to both LPA members and non-members. Special memberships are for those who were not LPN golf members in 2015, and distance memberships for people who are not LPA members and who live more than 18 miles from the LPN.
