Fall Art Festival at LPN Thursday

The Guthrie County Art Council's Fall Festival will be 4 to 8 p.m. this Thursday at the LPN Conference Center. Come browse and shop the many artists' booths featuring pottery, jewelry, photography, watercolor and acrylic painting, calligraphy and more. Live music featuring Annie Kemble, with guitarist William Jacobsen, will be performed in two sets - 4-4:45 p.m. and 6-6:45 p.m. Kemble, a senior at Panorama High School, and Jacobsen, from Perry, have been performing together for a year. This duo covers music from jazz and blues genres. Refreshments will be served throughout the evening at the festival, or come enjoy drinks and a meal in The Link Restaurant and Lounge before or after your time at the Art Festival.

LPN Driving Range Closed for the Season

The LPN driving range is now closed for the rest of the 2015 season. The area that was torn up to accommodate a new septic system for Clover Ridge has been graded and seeded, and we need to keep traffic off that area so the grass can get established. Thanks for your cooperation.

About 30 players participated in the 10th annual Eagle Club outing Wednesday. Bill Favaro took first place, with Mark Sanger in second place. Dick Zapf and Reuben Hanson tied for third. LPN members can become an Eagle Club member by scoring an eagle (gross or net) in a sanctioned LPN event, or when playing with another Eagle Club member. So if you qualify sometime within the next year, contact the LPN pro shop for details on how you can compete in the 2016 Eagles Club Outing!

10th Annual Pirate Open Results

The 10th annual Pirate Open was Sunday. This four-person best-shot tournament featured cups on the greens of two, four and eight inches. Some participants took the "pirate" theme seriously, decorating their carts and dressing in pirate garb. Taking first place in the tournament was the team of Mark Chew, Dick Zapf, Corey Welberg and Will Babcock. Complete results available here.

Friends of Lake Panorama Donors Make Upgrades Possible

Donations to Friends of Lake Panorama have made some recent upgrades at both Lake Panorama National and Panorama West possible. Two new signs featuring the Panorama West Golf Course and Clubhouse logo now are on display at the parking lot entrance, with one facing north and the other facing south. Two new signs also are in place over east entrances at the LPN Conference Center. Both signs sport the LPN logo. The one on the south shows it’s the entrance to The Links Restaurant and Lounge. The one on the north shows it’s the entrance to the LPN Reception Hall. The LPN signs were made possible by donations from businesses in the LPN Granite Club. Learn more here.
