LPN Weekly - 3/8/15

Golf Courses Opening Soon!

It all depends on the weather, but with forecasts of warmer, drier days comes the expectation both Lake Panorama National and Panorama West golf courses will be ready for play soon. There also is the expectation the LPN will be cart-paths-only for the first few days, and that Panorama West play will be restricted to walkers. Watch for LPN News announcements during the week, and check back here next Sunday evening for an update.

Eat Lunch, Enter to Win!

Congratulations to Scott Stanley, last week's winner in the Lunch Bunch promotion. Each weekday you have lunch at The Links, you earn an entry into that week's drawing. Drawings are held each Friday, with the winner earning a free lunch. Have lunch this week at The Links, you may be the next winner!

A Friday night fish and shrimp Lenten special is being offered at The Links until Easter. Besides the fish and shrimp, the Friday night buffet includes dinner rolls, a salad bar, red potatoes and a dessert. The cost is $12.95, plus tax and gratuity. Come to The Links this Friday night, and enjoy!

March 17 Panora Community Blood Drive

The LPN is sponsoring a Panora Community blood drive on Tuesday, March 17. The LifeServe Blood Center will be managing donations that day in its Bloodmobile. Because of the LPA road embargo that limits vehicles on most roads to 5 tons, the Bloodmobile will be parked at the LPN maintenance facility. The address there is 5003 Clover Ridge Road, and it is located north of the LPA office. Donors will need to show a photo ID at check-in. Donors must weigh at least 120 pounds, be in generally good health, and at least 16 years of age. Sixteen and 17-year-olds must have a signed parental/guardian permission form. Donors are encouraged to eat a good meal before donating, and drink plenty of fluids both before and after. Donation hours are 11:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Appointments can be scheduled online or by calling Sandy Lowe at 641-757-0451.
