Links Restaurant Open Memorial Day

The Links WILL BE OPEN tomorrow for Memorial Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check out the new menu, which includes new burgers and sandwiches, a jalapeno popper appetizer, new pizza offerings, new entrees, and all the old favorites!

Two 2-Gal Tournaments in June

The Lake Panorama National women's league hosts its 17th annual 2-Gal Invitational on Thursday, June 19. The 18-hole 2-gal best-shot tournament includes registration at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9 a.m., followed by lunch and awards. Raffle tickets for some great gifts, including two $50 cash prizes, will be available. Cost is $35 for LPN members and $55 for non-LPN members. Download a registration form here.

A few spots remain for a nine-hole 2-gal best-shot at the Panorama West course on Tuesday, June 10. Registration is 9 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10 a.m., followed by lunch and awards. Cost is $15 for Panorama West members and $30 for non-members. Registration forms are available at the Panorama West golf course or by emailing thomcomm@netins.net.

Fathers Day Tournament June 15

What better way to celebrate Fathers Day than with some golf! Best of all, the 10th annual LPN Fathers Day tournament on Sunday, June 15 isn't just for fathers. Two-person teams can be made up of a dad or grandfather with a son or daughter, but also a mom or grandmother with a grandchild. The "old guns" will play 18 holes, with the entry fee for LPN members $25 per team and $100 for non-members. The "young guns" teams include a player age 12 or under. They will play nine holes at a cost of $10 per team for LPN members and $50 for non-members. The format is two-person alternate shot. Tee times will be between 9:45 and 11:45.

Men's Member/Guest Next Weekend

A reminder the 14th annual LPN men's member/guest tournament is next weekend, sponsored by Guthrie County State Bank and Lake Panorama Realty. Saturday's competition begins with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. The team shootout will be at 5:30 p.m., and spectators are welcome. Dinner and the professional draw for Sunday's pro-am follows the shootout. The pro-am is a 10 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday, with awards in the banquet room around 3 p.m.

LPN Flowerbed Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are being sought to plant and maintain flowerbeds at several locations on the LPN golf course. Volunteers are needed for the pro shop area, #3 tee box, the restroom near #4 green, #10 tee boxes, #12 tee boxes, and the restroom between #12 green and #13 tee box. Slots for all other locations have been filled, but there may be opportunities to join existing volunteers. Junior Golf School Begins June 4

Some slots still are available in the 16th annual LPN junior golf school. The school, which begins June 4, is open to juniors ages 5 to 17. For the first three Wednesdays, the school will be 10 a.m.-11 a.m. at the LPN. The final session June 25 will be at the Panorama West golf course, includes a tournament and pizza party, and runs 10 a.m. to noon. Cost per student is $50. More here.
