Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Brunch
The second annual LPN Easter egg hunt will be Sunday adjacent to the conference center, beginning at 10 a.m. sharp. Bring the kids and grandkids and enjoy the fun! This is open to all children, not just those attending the brunch.
The annual Easter brunch will be served 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with seatings scheduled every half hour. The cost is $14.95 for adults, $8.95 for children 5-12 and free for children 4 and under. For reservations, call 641-755-2080.
Beer Tasting, 4 Shades of Grey Return April 26
An evening of beer tasting and live music will take place at the LPN Conference Center Saturday, April 26. Between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., patrons can taste test some new beers being considered for The Links. Between 8 p.m. and midnight, the local band "4 Shades of Grey" will rock the banquet room. There is no cover charge. See you there!
Time is Running Out
This is the final week for the LPN Friday night fish and shrimp buffet, which costs $11.95. Also, just two more drawings remain for the spring Lunch Bunch promotion. Eat lunch at The Links Monday through Friday and get an entry form. A drawing is held each Friday from all business cards and entry forms submitted that week. MIchelle Bassett was last week's winner.
Pay by Tuesday, Save Money on Bud Light 8" Cup
If you plan to play in the Bud Light 8" Cup April 27, you can save some money by getting your team entered and PAID FOR by this Tuesday, April 15. Entry fees are $120 per team if all players are LPN golf members, and $240 per team if all players are non-members. Paying by Tuesday lowers those prices to $100 and $220 per team. If your team has a mixture of LPN members and non-members, see the entry form or call the pro shop for a fee breakdown.
Registration begins at 10 a.m., with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. and awards at 4 p.m. Entry fees cover golf with cart, range balls, hors d'oeuvres and prizes. Download the entry form here.
Survey Confirms We're On the Right Track
Thanks to the 50 people who completed the LPN communications survey. You told us the top two reasons you go to the LPN website is to check the conference center calendar and the golf calendar. Other popular landing spots are golf membership, food & beverage, tournaments, and the weekly tee time schedule. (If you haven’t been on the LPN website lately, check it out here.)
The majority said the current Sunday evening distribution of this LPN Weekly works for you, so we will stick with this schedule. The majority likes the current format, with full stories in the email and occasional links for more information. Comments also were positive for LPN News items that come as a headline, with a link to the online news item.
Overall, the survey responses and positive comments show we’re on the right track. We did pick up some new ideas, and have strengthened our commitment to keeping information flowing between LPN and its customers. If you have suggestions on how we can do an even better job, email Royce Shaffer.
Interested In Pickleball?
Pickleball is a racket sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. It is played on a surface that is one-third the size of a tennis court, and uses many of the same rules. The LPN has been asked to help connect people who are interested in playing. If you’d like to talk with others about pickleball, contact LPN staffer Royce Shaffer at 641-755-2080 or email@example.com. Give him your name, phone and email address. He will share the list of those interested with the entire group.
