150 Golf Members Enjoy Discount for 2014

Thanks to the 150 LPN golf members who took advantage of the early bird discount and joined for 2014 by the Jan. 31 deadline. Not only did these members get a great deal on their annual dues, but their membership dollars help the LPN operation financially during the slow season.

Share Business Card - Win a Free Lunch?

A new promotion is underway at the LPN. To get involved, just drop a business card into the jar at the LPN front desk. A drawing is held each Sunday from all cards deposited, with the card's owner earning a free lunch in The Links Restaurant and Lounge. Winners will be notified using the contact information on the business card, plus announced in the LPN Weekly at the beginning of each month. Good luck!

Valentine's Day Sweetheart Dinner

Celebrate Valentine's Day on Friday, Feb. 14, at The Links. Order from the regular menu or enjoy a dinner-for-two special. The special includes three jumbo shrimp and a 6 oz. steak filet, plus fresh dinner rolls, salad, baked potato, and one glass of house wine per person, at a cost of $49.95 plus tax and tip. February Specials Available for Lunch and Dinner

This week's home-cookin' special in The Links on Tuesday is chicken fried steak. Wednesday's "South of the Border" special is fajitas, with chips, salsa, Spanish rice and refried beans. Chicken Parmesan with breadsticks and a tossed salad is the "That's Italian" special Thursday. All dinner specials are $9.95 plus tax and tip.

These midweek specials also are available for lunch, served as a smaller portion with a smaller price tag. So to The Links Tuesdays through Thursdays and enjoy these special offerings any time of the day.

4 Shades of Grey to Perform Feb. 22

A local band will perform Saturday, Feb. 22 at the LPN Conference Center. The "4 Shades of Grey" play classic rock and roll, rockabilly, blues, country and R&B. Band members are Bill Labath and Reuben Hanson, both Lake Panorama residents and LPN members. Joining them are Mike Bowles of Yale and Kim Jackson of Perry.

There is no cost to attend. The band will play from 8 p.m. to midnight, and the dance floor will be ready. The Links will offer food and drink specials throughout the evening. Come join the fun!

Serenity Now Yoga Retreat

Serenity Now, a Weekend Renewal Retreat will be held at the LPN Feb. 28 through March 2. Teri Lynn Daggett is the retreat director. All skill levels are welcome. The retreat begins at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, and ends at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, March 2.

To reserve a spot, call the LPN Reservations Desk at 641-755-2080 or 1-800-879-1917. Lodging reservations can be made at the same time. Two bed/two bath townhomes with full kitchens are available for $150 per night, plus tax. Motel units, with either two double beds or one queen, are $69 per night, plus tax.
