BATHROOM RENOVATION COMPLETE
Crews have been busy the past three weeks on renovations to the main floor women’s bathroom at the LPN conference center. The cost of materials and some hired labor came from the LPA, as part of its annual capital budget designated for improvements at the LPN.

Donations of labor and some items helped make the project possible. Kane Powell, a member of the LPA board of directors, designed and managed the project, plus donated his labor for many phases of the construction. Kane’s wife, Dee Powell, painted the walls, ceiling and some wood frames. Melissa Strong provided design consultation, plus painted and donated an original piece of artwork. Finally, Larry and Julie Wyckoff donated four new toilets, which Larry Wyckoff helped install.

Powell also will manage renovation of the men’s bathroom, and hopes to begin that project this week. You can find a picture of the new women’s bathroom here.

In a related project, Larry and Mary Hills are donating their time to paint the walls and install shelves in the adjoining storage closet. The closet size was reduced by five feet to make the women’s bathroom larger.
