Make Reservations for LPN Holiday Brunch

The annual LPN Holiday Brunch will be Sunday, December 18. Service will be 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with reservations taken in half-hour increments. Walk-ins also are welcome. The brunch cost is $19.95 for adults, $9.95 for children ages 5 to 12, with children 4 and under free. The brunch will include traditional breakfast buffet items, plus a salad bar and lunch items. Lunch features will be turkey, roast beef, ham, shrimp and mashed potatoes and gravy. There also will be a nice variety of desserts. Since the kitchen staff will be busy preparing for the brunch, The Links breakfast menu won't be available that morning. Reservations are strongly recommended, especially for large groups. Call the LPN front desk at 641-755-2080 to reserve a table.

LPN Golf Course Prepped for Winter

The LPN golf course will remain open for play as long as weather and course turf conditions permit. Routine winter maintenance is complete, in an annual effort to protect our turfgrass during the winter and ensure course conditions are optimal next spring. A preventative snow mold application and heavy top dressing has been completed on all greens. The top dressing will remain on the greens over the winter to help protect the blades of grass by not exposing the crown of the plant. Even though the course is open, the top dressing is required for our greens and will help limit damage to the plant’s crown caused by foot traffic.

The course now is CART PATHS ONLY. All golf carts must remain on cart paths during your round, plus as you travel to and from the course. The irrigation system has been shut down for the winter, so it is important golf cart traffic remain off the turf. Remember — golf cart tracks made in November still will be visible in the spring. We hope the weather provides more days of golf between now and spring, and we ask everyone’s help protecting our turf during the winter months.

Conference Center Construction

Siding and windows are being replaced on the east side of the Lake Panorama National Conference Center. As this construction continues please watch your step as you come in and out of the lobby area. This is the final side of the building to be sided, and is a much needed improvement. We apologize for any inconvenience this construction may cause.
